Making the Annapolis Valley a better place for LGBTQ youth and our allies

It’s parade time again!  As in the past, we are offering rides to and from the Halifax Pride Parade.  We will meet with other youth at the Halifax office of the Youth Project, help out with the float, and head to the marshalling area.  We’ll walk the parade route (from Barrington St to Spring Garden Rd. to the Garrison Grounds), then have a bit of time to check out the booths and vendors, before we head back.

Departure is 11AM from the Louis Millet Community Centre in New Minas, and we return to the same location around 5PM.  If you are coming from further down the valley, please let us know and we may be able to arrange to pick you up/drop you off closer to your home.

Transportation and participation in the parade is free, but we need to know how many people to expect so we can rent vehicles.  Also, if you are under 18, we’ll need a signed Permission Form from a parent or guardian.  Make sure to bring a signed copy with you when we meet.

Don’t forget to eat before to leave, and bring a snack and water bottle for the walk.
