Making the Annapolis Valley a better place for LGBTQ youth and our allies

Please note the correction in the date – Drop In is Wednesday June 1, 2016 – not June 2 as previously published in error.

Author Sold-typewriterophie Bérubé returns to Drop In on June 2 as a follow up to her presentation on writing in April. Sophie will guide us through some story telling exercises, and can help you with your on going writing or help get you started on something new. You don’t have to be a writer to play along.

We’ll have the usual snacks and socializing, in the usual place, Room 128 of the Louis Millet Community Complex, from 6:30 – 8:30.

If you need a ride, please request free transportation in advance.

    Hi Guys!

Our youth came home with a permission slip, it doesn’t have any information on it, he says it is for the prom. Do you have any additional information such as the date and time, is there a fee, transportation? He’d really like to attend, we just need to have all of the information to pass on to the appropriate “powers to be”.

    Thanks so much!

Hi Jenn, thanks for following up! Sorry for the confusion. The details for the prom haven’t even been announced yet — we were going to hand out the slips next time. But some of the participants wanted to be extra super sure that they didn’t forget, so we sent them along. The Prom will be in Halifax on Wed. June 22. Plans are still being finalized for drives and times. We will post them here in the next few days — that should give you all the info you need to fill in the slip. If you have any other questions at all, don’t hesitate to email us at
