Making the Annapolis Valley a better place for LGBTQ youth and our allies

Vigil Tuesday

Capture.PNGIf you’ve been following the news, you’ve heard by now about the shooting at a gay club in Orlando, Florida.

There is a vigil being organized for Tuesday night (tomorrow) that is intended to focus specifically on youth and students, by some of the same people who worked on the I Will Not Be Quiet Cabaret.

Where: Kentville Town Square

When: 7PM – 8:30PM, Tuesday, June 14

What: “Bring your voices and your hearts. Youth/students/and their supporters to commemorate the tragic losses in Orlando and come together as a community of peers. This event is meant to be child-friendly as well with parental/guardian support and presence/discretion. Candles will be provided, a sound system is in place, song lyrics, and facepainting.”

Valley Youth Project volunteers will be there.  Want to join us?  As always, transportation is available to the event from anywhere in Kings, Hants, or Annapolis counties, for any youth 25 and under, who are GLBTQ+ or our allies.  Please help us spread the word, and hope to see you there.
