Making the Annapolis Valley a better place for LGBTQ youth and our allies

Get a head start on Halloween treats this coming Wednesday at the Valley Youth Project’s regular drop-in event for 2SLGBTQI+ youth.  We regularly have between thirty and forty attendees from all over the Annapolis Valley, so this is a great chance to meet new people and build community. Costumes (especially super gay ones) are encouraged, but not required.

We are located in the Cafeteria of the NSSC Kingstec Campus  at 236 Belcher St., Kentville. Use the main entrance, sign in at the security desk, and follow the signs to the elevator, which will take you directly to the drop-in space. We are open from 6:30 to 8:30.  You can arrive and leave when you want, but you can’t come back in once you sign-out for that night.

Want to come, but don’t have a ride? Check out the transportation page on our website; you can book a free drive to drop-in, but you need to do it two days in advance of the event (so, by Monday afternoon at 3.30.)

We have access to both multi-stall gendered washrooms and an all-genders-welcome washroom. Please refrain from bringing or wearing scented products to drop-in.

Something you might not know about the VYP: we provide free condoms and pregnancy tests, no questions asked. We also can help if you’re in need of a gaff or binder–just shoot us an email!
